When most people first asked you about functional fitness what did you tell them? I’m guessing you didn’t say something like this:
- Functional fitness is constantly varied functional movement performed at high intensity. Where we move large loads, long distances, quickly
If you did answer like this I’m sure their eyes glazed over and they had a look on their face similar to the first time you finished Fran. If I was a betting man (I’m not…) I would guess that you sounded more like this:
- It’s like a crazy, super hard work out, where you do all kinds of different things. The best part about it? No one leaves after the workout, they all stick around, cheering everyone else on, and then when everyone is done they just hang out and talk!
Sound familiar? The community is the reason Reebok is putting up millions for the Games and the reason functional fitness has exploded in popularity throughout the world. Not the other way around.
Functional fitness has brought people together across the world to WOD and sweat for a common goal. How are you building your community?
